Interview of Tracie Renee of VH1s K. Michelle: My Life
As my loyal fans and followers may be aware, I recently had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely Tracie Renee, cast member of the new VH1 reality TV show “K. Michelle: My Life” (first aired Nov. 3, 2014) and a close friend of talented R&B singer K. Michelle on the Hot Vybe.
In the interview Tracie puts it all out there about the pitfalls of the show and reality TV. She gives the full scoop on her and K. Michelle’s relationship before the filming, during, and now. She’ll answer the burning questions of inquiring minds and ya boy Vybe, trust that.
Find out who Tracie’s got issues with from the show, even now. What her true passions and calling in life is? Is K. Michelle the real deal or just hype? Who gets slapped and into the cat fights? Is there a K. Michelle: My Life season #2 in the works already? If there is a season #2, is Tracie on board? Does DJ Vybe have a “thing” for the Tennessee titan Tracie Renee, or is it the other way around? And of course the million dollar question — what the hell did she charge on K. Michelle’s credit card that got all this drama started in the first place!? Is she being truthful, or is K. Michelle overreacting or petty?
We also get into it about: her sex toys and Virgo freakiness that we share, men in her life, did she get her fresh start in New York, the long history of her 10 year friendship with K. Michelle, calls out Paris (K. Michelle’s BFF), she even throws some shade at K. and reveals a shocking secret about herself with me.

New Artist Highlight: Setoria
Born in Florida, raised in Maryland. Setoria fell in love with the way music made her feel at the tender age of 5. She began singing in church choirs and also explored the art of theater as she participated in many school musical plays. Setoria tried to master other instruments such as various percussions, keyboard and flute, but soon discovered that a pen, pad and microphone were the only tools needed to make a statement.
To enhance her gift, Setoria has gained vocal lessons from Eric Arceneaux, who has also earned the respect of industry heavy weights, like Brett Manning, Lis Lewis, and Jennifer Hudson. She made her mark in the Washington, D.C. area by regularly performing with the band, N-Touch, as well as other various R&B/Jazz and Go-Go bands around the Metropolitan region executing soulful cover tunes. She is currently working on her solo album featuring her first smash hit single Shorty. The song, released in May of 2014, has already hit the ground running with international recognition and will also be featured in an upcoming independent film by April Reign Productions entitled “Love Him or Leave Him”. The film is set to be released the Fall of 2014. Her sophomore single #Hustle represents a daringly innovative example of Setoria’s cutting edge music style as she successfully integrate Soul, Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop and Go-Go into her Funky new-aged signature sound. #Hustle will also hit the airwaves in the Fall of 2014. Setoria continues to connect with other Indi-artists and fans locally and world-wide by serving as co-host to the internet radio show – Back2Basics, a station powered by Gogoradio.com, designed to discuss and support Hip-Hop, R&B and Go-Go culture.

The well-rounded vocalist, songwriter and music activist cites Chaka Khan, Jill Scott, Mahalia Jackson, Lauren Hill, Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Millie Jackson, Miles Davis, Bon Jovi and Chuck Brown as some of her biggest influences and inspirations. With an eclectic sound stemming from her diversified musical background, it’s hard to place her in just one genre so she created her own, “Gumbo”. She describes this as a mixture of R&B, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Rock, and Go-Go beats. Her expressive lyrics are recognized more as pages to her diary as she share stories of her personal experiences, thoughts, dreams, and nightmares. Website: www.setoriathevocalist.com
